Mr. W. R. Wallace longtime Cranfills Gap resident dies at home after a brief illness on April 4, 1037. Born April 10, 182, he was 75 years 11 months old. Survived by his wife Mary Ellen and two children, with several grandchildren and relatives. Funeral services were held at the Gap Methodist Church, with Wallace serving as a longtime member and official of the church and community.
Myre and Mrs Henry Landuu with their daughter Misa Sette chatted with relatives and friends in Hamilton county at their former home last Sunday. They enjoyed attending church events nearby, meeting former neighbors amid a light rain.
Mr Rose Wallace died Sunday morning at 70. Funeral services were led by Nispazing Reverend, Farmer and Gateford with Bernarda of Clifton present. Interment at Bogey Cemetery. Uncle ute, a pioneer ranchman, remembered as Christian and Methodist. Daughter Willie Mae and other relatives mourn his loss. Community mourns. Also a lecture at St Olaf Lutheran Church on China mission work by Tyedt. Bosque County Meet at Clifton featured a school parade with local win. Automobile owners in Clifton reported thefts last Monday night as thieves struck several cars. Most missing parts were wheels tires and minor fixtures, with thieves operating over the main street area and leaving little trace for owners to follow.
The Meridian Iredell Clifton Farm Loan Associations marked the twentieth anniversary of the Federal Land Bank of Houston with a program at the Old City Auditorium. More than 200 attendees heard radio drama from the Federal Land Bank of Houston and speeches by leaders including J. M. Jensen and A. Manion. The event highlighted long‑term loans aiding Bosque County farmers and praised community cooperation in sustaining farm ownership.
An 83 year old Reverend J P Gilliam of Clifton plans to attend services at the Baptist Church Sunday. The Baptist Brotherhood will lead the 11 o clock service with Edward Stamilton of Clabarne as the speaker and the Mande sisters of Cleburne to sing.

Eight hundred conservation checks were received at the office of County Agent H R Lawrence for immediate distribution to Basque farmers. A schedule lists dates and locations including Iredell Walnut Boeinge Marsan Telek Steiner and other communities with times around 8:30 to 9:80 oclock on April 12 and 13 192? in preparation for distribution.
E R Lawrence announces new interpretations of the Range Program that penalize ranchers who burn cedar or prickly pear cut for sampling. Cedar must be left on the ground and prickly pear stacked with piles 8 to 10 feet wide and 4 feet high, rounded tops. Infestation is classified as light, medium, or heavy and ranchers must eradicate all levels equally. Applications total 343 on file with the County Agent’s office. closing date for programme applications is Thursday.
County Agent E R Lawrence explains Boegue County farmers should reduce tillable land by 65 percent then plant the remainder to avoid over planting in the current year. After deductions, the remainder goes to the soil depleting base and affects plantings. He notes more farmers are participating in the program than before, with 25 to 80 percent increase in worksheets signed.
Court activity in The Dalles slowed by April Fool Day interruptions as judges and clerks faced delays and confusion. Proceedings paused temporarily while staff sorted misdirected calls and calendar entries. Local officials urged calm and restored orderly operations as the day progressed.
