Rescued After Seven Days At Sea City of Savannah Wrecked

Passengers and crew of the City of Savannah are saved after a seven day battle with angry waves off Hunting Island South Carolina. The steamer is a total loss but the Birmingham delivered the rescued aboard to Savannah to a city and nation rejoicing. The Savannah built 1877 in Chester Pennsylvania weighed 2029 gross tons with 46 crew onboard. No cargo details available.
