Country Club in Fine Condition at Clearfield Cerwensville Meeting
The Clearfield Cerwensville Country Club held its annual meeting at the Dimeling Tuesday evening with strong attendance. Four board members were elected: Hon. Charles E. Patton Curwensville Hon. Singleton Bell W J Betts and Warren Partridge Clearfield. A board meeting Saturday will appoint officers and committees for the year. The club reports a prosperous financial condition with four new members this year and fourteen applications. There are now 123 members and improvements to grounds and buildings in spring ahead of golf and video activities.

District No 2 of the UMWA reports votes on the 1912 wage scale with 15 578 in favor and 3 376 against. If remaining locals vote proportionately the majority for acceptance could reach about 15 000. Robbery Case Occupies Court in State District
Continued on Eighth page reports the jury verdicts in several cases. J. B. Stels was found not guilty of assault and battery and the prosecutor Brown, a traveling clothesman, must pay costs. David Barto also found not guilty with costs for the prosecution. A water privilege quarrel in Westover produced the same verdict. Jack Dally faced robbing the Slaughterhaupt store at Curwensville with a night session and slow progression. Daily, a roaming figure, admitted stealing shoes, sauer-krau cheese, and other items. Uncertain whether the Cimo Murder case will start, as other cases must be disposed of first, including a disorderly house charge against William Coss, owner of the Third Street howling alley.
