County Agents Reports No New Regulations Placed on Farmers
Paul D. Gibson reports that four new farming laws in effect this week do not impose new regulations on farmers. The acts cover warehouse storage of produce, egg grading and truth in advertising, butter overrun testing, and milk advertising breed names. The warehouse law licenses storage firms and requires detailed warehouse receipts with ownership and storage terms. The egg law mandates Grade A eggs for ads and proper sizing and marking of all eggs. The butter overrun provision targets accurate milk testing and monthly reports. The milk advertising rule requires dairy ads to feature herds predominantly of the stated breed.
