Field Committee Reports Celebration And Future Plans
The Isabella Memorial Field committee met for its fall session with Chair Moyes presiding. Treasurer Matteson detailed the Fourth of July finances showing $532 from dinners and various small items, total expenses $567.32, net profit $170, and noted the event’s success with a large crowd. Plans include bleachers, improved seating for sports and shows, and funding via suppers and local talent. The group also supervised the ice pond during skating season and asked the township to maintain it. Moyes will loan the barbecue cooker to others for $5 per day. The field saw a permanent stage, better wiring, benches, and a piano housing, and the Isabella-Denver Honor Roll was moved. Landscaping and more improvements are planned, with thanks to Midway Tool Company and local suppliers. Members present included Moyes, Miller, and several local residents.
