Cappaert makes a rocket rise in mobile home profits
Clare native Francis Cappaert, a 1938 Clare High graduate, built Magnolia Homes Mfg from 9,000 to profits of 1.4 million on 40 million sales in 1965. A recent 70 percent stock merger values holdings at 14 million in new Guerdon Industries, a top mobile home producer with 80 million annual sales. The firm also builds relocatable units for Job Corps camps and government projects as Cappaert expresses strong interest in government business.
