Farwell residents host Homecoming events with visitors from Saginaw Lansing Flint and Detroit. Local families, teachers and students attend church gatherings, meetings and a Nor mal Conference service as correction notes address a pickle plant update and upcoming Isabella County convention events.
A Labor Day crowd enjoyed a rain free Sunday with attractions and an aero show. The airplane gave rides and performed stunts while two parachute drops wowed spectators. The agricultural exhibit featured fine produce and prize winners include Homer Stinchcombe for peaches and pears and George Walters for apples.
An exhibition of farm produce and craft items is noted with names of exhibitors such as Fred McGuire Homer Stinchcombe John Raw son Mrs Jack Renner Mrs H Rosenfield Mrs Thomas McGuire Mrs Thompson Loura Finch J L Littlefield A D Pearl and others. The judges on the west side were Mrs Hdna Bamber of Sapi naw Mrs Fannie Reid of Flint and Mrs Minnie Chappell of Farwell.
Nearly one hundred guests from Saginaw Kalamazoo Reed City and other places attended a reunion at the Pal mers home with tables on the lawn a program including welcome remarks by Mrs George Palmer and readings from Mrs Madge Lamb and Mrs Nellie Palmer.
