American track teams swept the XVIIII CISM track and field meet at Heysel Stadium Brussels before 40 000 fans winning 261 points to 170 for Germany. Army entries set four new marks nine gold five silver five bronze led by Roy Hicks Bob Poynter Dick Crane and Pvt Tom Lash. The United States dominated despite participation by 16 of 32 nations with clubs and personnel from Fort Hood Fort Rucker Fort Knox and the Presidio of San Francisco among others.

World Mission Series to Host Elder Curtiss in November
Elder Leon Curtiss of Independence Missouri will visit the church for two services on November 3. At 11:00 a.m. his topic is Seek Ye the Lord through Stewardship and at 7:30 p.m. Seek Ye the Lord by Testimony of the Resurrection. The Zions League held a scavenger hunt Thursday and reports good fun and treasure found. A fish supper is planned soon and no League meetings are scheduled this week.
