Clare Pioneers blank Reed City 39-0 in homecoming rout
Clare Pioneers crushed Reed City Coyotes 39-0 on homecoming night as they scored in every quarter and dominated on defense. Dave Shepperley tallied 85 rushing yards on 14 carries plus 116 yards on punt returns, including an 80 yard TD run. A 70-yard TD was nullified on a controversial call by Mike Rodgers. Jeff Witbeck anchored the Clare defense as the Pioneers showed big threat for North Central League play.
