Farwell Womans Club Sets Plans At October Meeting
The Farwell Womans Club held a Monday night meeting with 18 members. Inez Bentley led devotions and committees reported. The group approved a $5 donation for reading material to the Veterans Administration and appointed Bernadine Wilson to coordinate outreach to Ardis Rest Home. Two new members joined, Raymond Agile and Walter Bartell.

Jay Putnam of Sterling and former Farwell resident died from a heart attack while hunting last Friday. Funeral services were held in Sterling on Sunday with several Farwell residents in attendance. After the burial at Surrey Cemetery, local friends were hosted by Mrs. Roy Shear.

Farwell School Homecoming Week Features Snake Dance
Farwell School plans a Snake Dance through town before the Homecoming Game on October 27 at 7 00 pm. The event will feature a Camp Fire with public participation and a Roaring 20s parade theme.
