Congregational Fellowship Circles Hold October Meetings
Four circles report October gatherings with Circle I planning a rummage sale for October 20 21 at the church and Circle II hosting a luncheon at 1 30 pm with devotions and program notes. Circle III approved a filmstrip Money for the Master and a pantomime and pledged $25 to the Higher Education Fund. Circle IV discussed needs of the Mt. Pleasant State Home and Training School and planned material collection and sewing for the next meeting.

Esther Circle met with Mrs Orris Presley and Mrs Cyriel Bolle hosting sixteen members and two visitors. Electa Circle gathered at Mrs Willard Ireland home with sixteen members present planning a rummage sale October 27 28 and Quiet Day of Prayer on the 26th at the church.

The Bowen Busy Bees met on the town’s 2nd Monday with 41 attendees. John Hovey led as acting president in Kay VanBuskirk’s absence, electing officers: President John Hovey Vice President Linda Anderson Secretary Lois Cluley Treasurer Joyce Jourdain Reporter Carole Moore Song Leader Sue Myers Recreation Leader Tertia Fabian. They scheduled a roller skating party for October 19 at Skatekrest Rink Mt Pleasant, inviting all to attend in Halloween costumes and prizes for best and funniest outfits.
