Army Private Randall D. Nelson, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Nelson of Coleman, Kentucky, finished eight weeks of basic training at Fort Knox Army Training Center Armor. Jackson II, son of Mr. and Mrs. Laurence W. Jackson Jr. of Clare, Michigan, was promoted while at the Marine Corps Air Station El Toro, California.
