Fall weed control saves future crop trouble and adds curb appeal
Agricultural notes urge fall weed management to prevent seed production by annuals and perennials. Mow or pull before seeds ripen, rake and destroy, then harrow to encourage fall sprouting and surface seed kill. Fall plowing and spring harrowing expose roots to winter, easing spring weeding and improving appearance and farm quality.
