The Farwell Missionary Church announces a fall rally from October 13 to 16 with evening sessions at 7:00 and Sunday meetings at 9:30 and 7:30. Featured speaker is Rev. H Curwen Smith, missionary to Vietnam in Indo China. Public invited.
The Bennett, Hileman, and related families attended Emil Giers funeral in Clare on Sunday. Numerous callers and weekend visits occurred among local residents including Bennett, Huskey, Ford, Hileman, and Bennett families across nearby towns.
The Square Steppers will meet again Saturday night the 12th at Farwell School for the last open session. Adult couples may join this Saturday night. Mary Alice Luce attends Lansing Business University and visited her parents. Weekend guests at Herman Babcock’s were their daughter and the Cranicks from Utica. Rev. Ernest J. Bellella, pastor, had eye surgery Monday and will have more on Saturday.
Southeast Sheridan notes show numerous visits and dinners across Clare, Coleman, Beaverton, and surrounding towns. Guests include Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Lawhorn, Chuckie Bath, Mr. and Mrs. Reed McGee, ernest Young, Bernard Macklem, and many others. church events and a revival are mentioned with community prayers and a Bible class.
