Seed Cleaning Feature At Northern Show
Seed section at the Northern Michigan Potato Apple and Seed Show will include demonstrations of seed cleaning equipment used by elevators and farms. A large manufacturer will set up equipment to show size and farm use, with daily demonstrations and a special day for elevator operators. The event runs November 4 to 7 at the Emmet County Fair Grounds Petoskey, expanding to include cereal grains and various seeds and crops.

Isabella County Ram Truck Drives Local Sheep Sale
Isabella County farmers attended a ram truck demonstration in Clare last week. About 20 rams, mostly Oxford and Suffolk breeds, were available with six or seven local counties represented. Three local buyers purchased rams, and two private sales occurred the same day. The event, sponsored by the Michigan Sheep Breeders Association and overseen by Grady Blank of Michigan State College, offered a convenient way to select quality rams near home.
