New Michigan Highways Boost Bus Travel
The Wall Street Journal notes new super highways cut travel times and push bus lines to carry more inter city passengers than railroads for the first time. It cites a Chicago to Milwaukee 95 mile trip now 25 minutes faster by bus than by air and forecasts rail passenger miles at 19.5 billion. Deer hunting data from Michigan’s upper peninsula and northern lower peninsula show most bucks taken in the first three days of the season.
