Several weekend visits from C M L’s Dennis Dawson, Vernon Neuman family, Wilbur Fletcher, Elton Scafe, Edna Scafe, Gertrude Thompson. Funeral attendance for William Pontious. Various family dinners and shop trips with Cummins, McCormick, Uphold, Hose, Doonan, Green, Hildebrandt, Updyker, Beard, Schofield, Walch, Riley, Schofield and Denton relations noted.
Miss Lorna Jean Stone and Charles Lee Gum wed October 5 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church Clare. Officiated by Rev. Fred C. Gersch the ceremony featured turquoise gowns and yellow floral accents with 150 guests from multiple Michigan towns. The couple resides in Lansing after Niagara Falls honeymoon. she is a Farwell High School graduate and he from Clare High School CMU and Navy service.
