Pioneers Defeat Breckenridge in Friday Afternoon Clash
Clare High School Pioneers earned their third win by defeating Breckenridge 13 to 7 at Breckenridge. Douglas Paxton scored both touchdowns after Ernie Bryant set up scoring chances, and Don Sprague converted the extra point. Breckenridge answered with a late fourth quarter TD, and Hood returned a kickoff 80 yards for a score. The Pioneers face Byatt at home next Friday in a 2:30 p.m. kickoff.

Grange News Notes October Birthdays and Trip Plans
Mt Overnow Grange reports strong turnout with four October birthday celebrants. Members shared a trip to Pontiac for the State Grange meeting. J Archambault Mrs Ackerman and Henry Ackerman attended Merritt Grange gathering eight miles west of Houghton Heights on M 55. The degree team will practice next Monday and travel to Merritt Wednesday night November 13 to present the 3rd and 4th degrees.
