Clare County Board of Supervisors met in Harrison on April 2 1949 and April 13 14 15 with 21 members present. They elected Ray Richardson as permanent chairman, formed committees, discussed jail, road right of way to fair grounds, airport matters, sheriff deputy staffing, and budget items exceeding 108000 dollars. They approved health welfare funding and urged state health bills 134 and 242, and set per diem and salary resolutions for county officers.
