Sunset Aboard: Missionary Dilemmas On Pacific Passage
On the Sunset a missionary voyage unfolds with Captain Keen guarding restraint among crew and passengers. George McAusland, an aspiring minister, forms cautious ties with Corkran the sailor while Mary Doncaster's presence stirs both awe and attraction. John Gale weighs the young man’s temperament as the ship nears Honolulu and the Marquesas, where Neargood’s zeal contrasts with McAusland’s burden.
