Clare Students Tour Ann Arbor Debating Championship

The Clare group including Verna Nash Julie Ireland and Mrs Bowerman traveled April 29 to May 1 to witness the State Championship debate between Lansing Eastern and Grand Rapids Union. They attended banquet at Detroit Free Press hosted by the University of Michigan and toured campus before visiting the capitol on the return trip.

Vernon Center students tour Lansing capitol and history sites

The seventh and eighth graders of Vernon Center School led by Mrs Ruth Hachmuth traveled to Lansing April 22. They met Representative Hugh Johnston and Senator Frank Heath, toured the Supreme Court and Secretary of State rooms, and visited the Michigan Historical Museum and the Blind School.
