Mothers Day Observed By Farwell Methodist Church
The Farwell Methodist Church held a large Mothers Day program with 159 in Sunday School. The oldest mother was 89 year old Mrs. Ella Peters. youngest was Mrs. Caralee Goodman. Mrs. Kerwin Paesen had five children, the most of any mother present, and both Mrs. Don Carr and Mrs. Paesen also had five children. Classes organized a tea, flower baskets, corsages, and planters for mothers.

Judd A. Terwilliger son of Mr and Mrs Albert Terwilliger of Farwell was promoted to sergeant on April 22 at Fort Benjamin Harrison Indiana where he is assigned as an instructor at the U S Army Finance School He entered the Army in June 1962 and completed basic training at Fort Knox He is 22 a Farwell High School graduate of 1960 and attended Central Michigan University Mrs Terwilliger resides at Fort Benjamin Harrison.
