Former Tiger Luke Hamlin Honored at Lake George Day
Lake George hosts Luke Hamlin Day, naming a softball field for the former Detroit Tiger and major leaguer. Hamlin, 72, moved to Lake George 25 years ago after a 1930s big league career with Detroit, Brooklyn, and Toronto, recalls his nickname Hot Potatoe and his Toronto night honor.

Ramps Closed for Bridge Repairs on US-27 Freeway
The Department of State Highways and Transportation says exit ramps from US-27 Freeway to M-61 at Harrison will be closed for three to four weeks starting May 10 to permit bridge deck repairs. Entrance ramps remain open.
