Community Mourns Passing of Dr A E Mulder of Clare
Dr. A E Mulder longtime Clare dentist died at his home in Clare Michigan on Saturday March 17 1951 after a heart attack following a brief illness He was born August 9 1869 near Laingsburg and practiced dentistry in Clare for 65 years He served as vice president and board chairman of The Citizens State Bank Clare school board president for 32 years and belonged to the Clare Methodist Church Rotary Club and dental societies He leaves wife Mabel a daughter Louise Demarest Schreiber and five grandchildren Funeral services were held at the Clare Methodist Church and burial followed at Stillson Cemetery Laingsburg Richards Stephen son Funeral Home arranged the services He was described as a civic leader and a man of convictions with a big heart.

Death of Coleman child ruled accidental
The death of three year old Albert David Woodruff Coleman was ruled accidental by Coroner Carl Stephenson after an autopsy by a state pathologist. He reportedly swallowed medicines prescribed for his stepfather Albert Meeker while parents were briefly away, with the child taken to Clare General Hospital by the family physician and sheriff's deputies investigating.

Gladwin Woman Killed in Monday Car Crash
Mrs Mamie Bruni a Gladwin county social welfare worker was killed instantly in a head on collision nine miles north of Gladwin Monday morning. Her brother Dennis McGuire escaped with minor injuries and Harold McKee and wife of Houghton Lake were injured including a broken leg for Mr McKee.

Clare FFA Delegates Attend State Meeting in Michigan
More than 700 Future Farmers of America students from 208 Michigan high schools gathered at Michigan State College in East Lansing March 20 and 21 for the twenty third annual convention. Delegates Ted Hoersch and Jim Bader represented the Clare FFA chapter. The event was sponsored by the Michigan Department of Public Instruction and Michigan State College with sessions in the college auditorium and a banquet at Shaw Dormitory dining hall. Fifty eight members earned degrees and nine honorary state farmers were selected. Key figures included Dr. Lee M Thurston superintendent of Public Instruction, Paul Bagwell of Michigan State College, Donald Jorgenson national vice president, Verne Stockman overseer of the Michigan State Grange, and Harry B H Nesmian state adviser for the FUEA group.

Husband of former Clare girl killed in Texas
Dr. A K Rodholm husband of former Miss Rose Marie Jackson of Clare was killed in a Corpus Christi auto crash at 8:00 p m Tuesday. Mrs Rodholm and their children were uninjured. The Laurence Jacksons and another daughter joined a funeral train to Iowa. Rodholm is survived by wife Rose Marie and three children Anne Patty and Jackie. The couple met at Billings Hospital and married in Clare in June 1940.
