Sacred Heart Beats Clare Pioneers on Friday Night
Sacred Heart won their first season game by defeating the Clare Pioneers 18 to 12 at Mt Pleasant last Friday. Gulf Refining Co to Conduct Second Oil Test Soon
The Gulf Refining Co is erecting a derrick and placing machinery for a second gas or oil test on the southwest quarter of section 25 in Grant township. The property belongs to the A J Doherty estate and lies north of the 14,600,000 gasser recently completed on Wilford Klingener farm. Tragic Temple Township Fire Claims Three Young Lives
A Freeman township home near Temple burned Sunday afternoon while the Collard children ages 3½, 2, and 10 months were left alone. The five year old boy tried to rescue brothers, but all three perished. neighbors aided but arrived too late. Funeral services were held at Temple for the three victims.
