Clare FFA Members Attend Regional Leadership Camp
Four Clare FFA officers Sam Kushmaul president Frank Hutchinson treasurer Gerald Dawson chaplain and Lyle Quig ley junior sentinel plus advisor Mr Floyd Norcutt attended Regional 7 District Leadership Training Camp at Sand Lake near Tawas City. They arrived after 2 30 p m Tuesday June 17 and stayed through lunch June 19. Activities included officers training work program discussions opening closing ceremonies contest with ten cities. Gladwin won. New officers were elected for next year and state officer John Willford spoke on duties. Recreation featured swimming softball obstacle course and tug of war.

The thirteenth annual Davis Reunion was held at Brush College Community Building on Sunday June 16 with 91 attendees enjoying a chicken dinner ice cream and watermelon. A traditional ball game was played as relatives from Remington Huntington Schoolcraft Alpena Alma Big Rapids Freeland Farwell Edenville Gladwin Rosebush Beaverton and Clare joined extended families for the weekend gathering.
