The obituary notes a long life beginning in 1844 in Essex Ontario and thirty seven years in Wise township. Survived by widow and three children W H MeJames Nellie Lamphere and another son, with two previous children deceased. He was a Herrick Methodist member and funeral services led by Rev. Davis at Herrick church. He rests in Cherry Grove cemetery.
