Clare High Class of 1965 Diplomas Friday

Eighty six members of Clare High School’s 1965 graduating class will march in to receive diplomas at the 78th Commencement Friday night in the high school gym. An eight o clock program features Russell Wentworth at MSU with a large audience expected for the baccalaureate Sunday.

Clare Methodist Church starts Vacation Bible School next Monday with two hour sessions from 9 00 to 11 00 daily Monday through Friday June 14 to 25 All children from kindergarten through sixth grade and entering kindergarten this fall are invited Twenty five teachers prepared activities and projects Each morning will offer refreshments games film strips drama and religious instruction.

Haymakers Exhibit Draws Big Crowd in Clare County

In Clare Gladwin counties a Forage Field Day showcased haying demonstrations with MSU experts, extension staff, and dealers. Ron and Stanley Schunk hosted eight miles northeast of Clare on Beaverton and Athey Roads. More than 600 people attended as windrowers, bale throwers, and baling equipment were demonstrated after lectures by Dr. Carl Hall of MSU.

Clare youth leads state in dairy club ranking

Frank Hutchinson of Clare County tops a statewide junior dairy club quiz taken during the 4 H Milk Marketing Tour in Detroit. He finished fourth after ties for first and second place among 61 participants. An upcoming State 4 H Show interview will select seven to tour the National Dairy Conference in Chicago in December.

St Cecilia's Graduation Honors Eighth Grade Students

Graduation events at St Cecilia's marked the year end with twelve eighth grade graduates and many achievement honorees. High Honors List At Clare High School

Clare High School released a special honors list detailing 24 graduates with four year grade averages from 3.00 to 3.97. All seniors plan to pursue further education, with faculty swift in marking the final honors before Commencement Day.

Coleman Board names Keith D Wing Coleman principal

The Coleman Board of Education announces the appointment of Keith D Wing as principal of the intermediate school effective July 1 1965. Wing currently teaches social studies in St Louis Michigan and has directed adult education worked with a reading program and varsity athletics. The Wings will move to Coleman after housing is found this summer.
