City Commission Accepts Bids for Gasoline Police Car and Bonds
The city commission opened three sealed bids at the regular meeting Monday. Stanley Oil Company of Clare offered 15.20 cents per gallon for gasoline and 17.20 cents for premium. Dan McDonald Ford bid 2498 dollars plus an old police car for a 1970 Ford fully equipped. Clare Mill Pond Development bid 20000 dollar water and sewer bonds at 5 percent interest. Bonds difficult to sell. The commission also approved liquor license changes and two building permits. Parking lot policy from 1966 was discussed after zoning board recommendations.

State Issues New Licenses In Clare County
The Clare County Sheriff announces the Department of the Secretary of State will issue driver licenses starting Monday June 1.
