Flint Couple Injured in Auto Wreck Near North Bradley
Monday afternoon Mr and Mrs Harold Burbank were brought to Flint after their car skidded on loose grayel and turned turtle near North Bradley. Dr F C Sanford treated them, Mr Burbank with internal injuries and Mrs Burbank with bruises and shock. They are recovering at the Hotel Doherty.

Check Made on Road Traffic Sunday in Clare
Last Sunday a traffic check was conducted on two state trunk lines passing through Clare. William Kreil oversaw the northern line and reported 1288 vehicles, while Mr and Mrs Hinkle supervised the western line and counted 1121 vehicles. The total cars passing through Clare reached 2409.

A Detroit musician, O B Frederick, former Boston Symphony member, will perform three slide trombone selections at the Congregational church next Sunday morning with Miss Laila Wilson on piano. Early Clare Resident James O Grady Dies
James O Grady, one of Clare's earliest settlers, died suddenly last Monday morning after a period of illness. He was found in bed after saying he felt better, with no apparent struggle. The funeral was at St. Cecelia church with Rev George Ilanagan officiating, burial in the church cemetery. An obituary will run next week.

Brown Family Holds Annual Reunion at Wight Point Lake
The Brown family held their third annual reunion at Wight Point Lake with 46 attendees from Ohio Michigan and Indiana. Widow shot by rejected suitor ends own life in Iowa
Cyrus Shellenberger, 50, a Hvart blacksmith, visited Mrs. Beat sie Stone three times seeking courtship and then killed himself with a shotgun after shooting Stone who suffered two head wounds and an arm wound. Stone, 40, mother of two, was recovering though losing sight in one eye. Stone’s past as Osceola township treasurer and her move to Hvart were noted. Shellenberger confessed to his mother before taking his life.
