W A Mart Dies In Florida
William A. Martz aged 74 died January 16 in Fresno California from an apparent heart attack. A former Greenwood Township Clare County resident he retired as highway superintendent in 1957. Survived by Edna his wife four sons three daughters and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. His remains will be brought to Michigan for spring burial with memorial services planned.

John W. Shilling born October 4 1890 in Gilmore township lived in the area most of his life. He served in World War II and married Eula Perry on September 11 1922. He died January 5 at the Veterans Hospital in Saginaw. Survived by wife Eula five sons John Herbert Carl Robert Milo one daughter Jean Blackerby two sisters two brothers and many relatives. Funeral services were held January 8 at Coker Funeral Home led by Rev John Allan. Burial in Gilmore Cemetery.
