DeMolay Plans February Initiation At Mt Pleasant
Glenn F Sanford Chapter of DeMolay met in the Masonic Temple to organize a February initiatory degree for the Mt Pleasant chapter with date to be announced. An equipment appropriation was approved. The chapter hosts a pancake supper February 9 at 6 30 PM, $1 per plate, guests include DeMolay Masons Eastern Star and families, followed by a showing of Beyond Our Own. A special meeting January 19 will confer initiatory degrees. eight new members joined December 22 and more applications are pending. The Clare DeMolay basketball team remains undefeated in the State League with wins over Midland Saginaw Bay Guy and Saginaw. About two hundred people attended the Farmers Program at Clare Methodist Church on January 8. Dr. Howard Western of Adrian College gave the main address, with the event including a high school band concert, a soil conservation talk by County Agent Paul Gibson, a 4 H skit, and a FA P B A film. Lunch, funded by local businesses, followed and the organizers thanked all who contributed to the first annual program.

Elmer Mull a long time Far well community resident was found dead in his Aberhart Ranch cabin eight miles northwest of Clare. Coroner Dr G B Lamb ruled organic heart trouble and death likely around December 26 with burial in Portland Michigan after services in Clare. Mull born May 10 1881 Crysel tal Michigan left a son and daughter and a large extended family. He lived alone with funeral services set for Monday at Thurston Funeral Home.

On January 9 the Randall 422% girls met at their leader's house for a sewing meeting.
