Lake survey work guides fish productivity goals
Modern Map Maker and a lake survey crew from the Institute for Fisheries Research and the Michigan Department of Conservation drill soundings and sample bottom materials in inland lakes during winter. Next summer a full biological survey will follow. Two crews will work in coming winter with CCC enrollees aiding northern counties. Winter soundings are conducted accurately and efficiently.
