Julius Schug Dies at Age Eighty Two
Julius Schug died Wednesday at ten o clock after a three week illness. Born April 16 1851 in Whmet Germany he moved to Syracuse New York at age twenty two and married Caroline Drumm April 16 1882. They settled in Vernon township founding a pioneer home with their son Albert Schug.

Valentine Party Attracts Large Crowd In Duncan Hall
The American Legion Post hosted a Tuesday Valentine party at Duncan's Hall with about 100 couples dancing to Frank Nunemaker's Detroit Rhythm Knights. After hall rent and expenses, the Post cleared a small profit while the Auxiliary ran a check room and dining sales yielding about twice the net. The musicians were kept for an extended hour by a voluntary collection, and Nunemaker called it the cleanest party his orchestra had played for, with no disturbances reported.
