World Day of Prayer observes 78th anniversary
Clare women join the World Day of Prayer with United Church Women inviting all to Friday 8:00 p.m. at Clare Congregational United Church of Christ. Theme Let us Pray calls Christians to renewal and service as gifts fund 12 Christian colleges for women in Asia and Africa and support translation and distribution of literature. A special US gift funds ministry to newcomers.

Steady Growth Of Michigan Trucking Industry
The Michigan Trucking Association reports a fifty year rise in truck registrations from 4 000 in 1914 to an estimated 400 000 in 1964.
