A Detroit Coin Club authority notes that Siam during King Mongkut's reign 1851 to 1868 used bullet shaped gold and silver as money. The almost spherical pieces were bent ends joined to form bullets, stamped with small house figures on back and sides. Tradition says gamblers on the floor rolled them for luck.
