Travelers Visit Florida Relatives and Local Guests

Rev. Emmett W Cox III accepted the call to lead Grace Baptist Church in Coleman and will begin ministry February 4 1968. He trained at Bob Jones University Greenville South Carolina and earned a 1966 BA in Bible with a minor in Speech. He previously pastored Evangelical Community Church Asbury Park New Jersey and directed Shore Gospel Mission there. Services are held at Mastonic Hall with Sunday School 10 00 morning worship 11 00 evening 7 00 and Cottage Prayer Meeting 7 00.

Lorraine K. Morgan of Clare high school is named 1968 Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow. She was among 603 798 girls in 15 079 high schools to take the test and may win state or national scholarships from 500 to 5 000 dollars. a silver charm marks her local achievement. She is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Pete Morgan of Clare and plans to attend Michigan State University next fall.

Consumers Power will invest 3.9 million in its Central division headquartered in Alma as part of a 187 million statewide expansion for 1968.
