Local notes record visitors and travel from Parnell to Flint Detroit and Lansing. Christmas vacation announced for the Normal and two weeks off ahead. The Colonial Trio performed with a well filled house and a praised manager. A lyceum series continues with another January performance.
On Tuesday evening December 19 the Farwell Woman's Club met at the home of Mr. Sirs John Henry. Roll call answered with Christmas quotations. Mrs. George Palme read a Christmas story and Miss Hertha Babcock presented Snooping round just before Christmas. Christmas Carols closed the program. Guests included Mrs. Montz Ges Mrs. Blanche Stinchcombe Misses Martha and Marian Fuller and Miss Laura Stinchcombs. The hostess served dainty refreshments.
Edith Stinchcombe, Mrs. Belle Green and Mrs. Floyd Oliver lead talks on child upbringing and personal cleanliness. The meeting discusses school needs including athletics, a dedicated basketball space, and policy on games to balance attendance, morale, and scholarships. Milk for sale offered at houses delivered, 10 cents.
M Burch of Clare visited his son George on Sunday. Mrs Rosa Bowen of Detroit stayed four days with Mr and Mrs F Hinkie. Ervin Calking of Randall called at Vern Moline’s Tuesday. A Christmas program was held by the local school last evening. Trees move toward cities to aid Kris Kringle amid holiday rush.
In Clare County Michigan the Probate Court at Harrison held a December 14 1922 session to determine legal heirs of Martha Buy landt Deceased and their rights to inherit the decedent's real estate. The court set a future date for hearing and publication of the petition.
