Clare Stockyards blocked by farmers strike action
Large tractors trucks and cars blocked the Clare Stockyards delaying the Monday sale as around 50 striking farmers and up to 200 potential supporters faced Clare County Deputies and allied agencies. Vehicles were towed away by trucks after a noon deadline. no arrests reported and auction losses noted while wider farm price protests spread to nearby towns.
