Emma Holford and Stella Myers shopped in Marion and called on Gertrude Baluss. Temple school and P T A will sponsor a Christmas party Friday December 22 at 8 00 pm. Maggie Crawford is spending a week with Charles Wheeler. Alvin Schram family of Coleman visited grandparents Peter and Mrs Schram. Mrs Schram can use her arm again after breaking it in September. Gertrude Baluss of Marion was a Sunday dinner guest of Stella Myers. Sammy Hilden of Owosso spent the weekend here with their parents. Stella Myers and Gertrude Baluss were Clare shoppers Thursday.

Community Christmas party planned at church basement
This Friday the community Christmas party will be held in the church basement with all invited and urged to bring gifts for the grab bag. Rev Beery will speak Sunday evening and Rev Bartlett spoke last Thursday evening to a much enjoyed program with several church films.
Gilmore Church of Christ Seeks Worship and Business Meeting
Gilmore Church of Christ offers a 10:00 song service and devotion, 11:15 Bible School, and communion and preaching at 10:07. A church business meeting is scheduled for December 29 at 2:00 p.m. Local residents attend gatherings, visits, and family travels including Claude Fordyce, Clara Hoisington, Sharon Pitts, and Bernard Pitts with several family and town connections noted.

John Hoskey is 4 H handicraft leader this year. 4 H youngsters skated at Beaver's Pond Friday night then lunch at Karen Stephison's home.
