MMCC Scholarship Foundation Reforms Also Names New Directors
The Mid Michigan Community College Scholarship and Grant Foundation restructured and announced new commissioners Charles Amb le Charles Ashcraft Frank LaGoe Thomas Howarth Richard Roehrs Burr Stoner and Ellis Van Deventer. Allen Nichols chairs the foundation to award scholarships, boost contributions, and aid college financial aid. Donor tax advantages exist for state and federal taxes with a $200 yearly gift matched 50-50 by FEDG grants, funding a resident student’s full-year tuition and books.

Groundbreaking held for Mormon Chapel in Mt. Pleasant
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints broke ground for a new chapel costing 9100,000 at the corner of Crawford Rd and Center. Groundbreaking included local leaders such as Mayor Pro Tempart Lakelle and the Mid Michigan Stake Presidency. Completion is scheduled for early spring 1973.
