Sorority Plans Caroling at Beta Sigma Phi Christmas Party
The Delta Psi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met at Town and Country with Joyce Brown presiding. Bev Zimmerman of Sharlow's Nursing Home gave a pep talk about the Christmas Party at the home and the group scheduled a December 19 caroling program. Mrs Meehan showcased fabrics and patterns with Christmas ideas.

The Clare City Police logged 109 complaints and made four arrests. A gunshot victim was reported and four personal injury accident assists were performed. Senior Citizens Plan Christmas Party at Mid Michigan
Forty eight attended the December 5 senior citizens meeting at the usual site for a carry-in dinner and business session. Clare County Sheriff's Report Shows Activity Across Dec 3 to 12
The Clare County Sheriff's Department logged 94 complaints in the Dec 3 to 12 period. Incidents included one personal injury snowmobile accident, five property damage crashes, two car deer collisions, four break ins, three larcenies, four malicious destruction complaints, and 15 snowmobile calls. Three felony arrests occurred. 19 inmates were in jail. two breathalyzer tests were given and one bad check filed.

Rebekah Lodge Initiation Amid Snowy Roads
The Clare Rebekah Lodge held its initiation Tuesday despite icy conditions that kept Gladwin Lodge candidates away. New members Julia Bennett Doris McGuire Bernice McKillop and Harry Brockering joined. Officers elected include Margaret La Voye and Mildred Bowers. Proceeding Dec 19 will feature Christmas party after the lodge and Odd Fellows sessions. Birthday supper honored December members Ellen Campbell Betty Burgess and Fannie Yeoman.
