Mr and Mrs Ralph Heller of Lansing spent Thanksgiving and the weekend at Steve Heller's home with Mr Knater joining them at the farm. Harl Sanders and family joined the Lorin Leithen home in Gladwin with Orin Leitner and Ida Leitner from Pontiac as weekend guests. Truman Ware and two daughters of Rensselaer Indiana traveled Wednesday to stay with Mrs Jess ie Davis. Other day guests included Delbert Sanders Willis Strouse their son Glen Lower and daughters Ted Newman and sons Earl Sanders and son Russel joined by Eb Sanders and son Russel at J C Newman home. Sunday school class party at Mrs Irttiee Shull home concluded with lunch.

Hardwood School Hosts Thanksgiving Celebration and New Books
Schools shut for Thanksgiving with hardwood school open Friday for a party where children enjoyed corn. Barbara Jean Harrold of Gladwin visited all day. Forenoon callers Wayne and Ronald Chattterton. Seventh and eighth graders receive new geography and history workbooks and look forward to the Christmas program on December 21 with a tree and Santa Claus.
