Community Church Thanks Don Jones and Helpers
The Colon ville Church expresses thanks to Mr and Mrs Don Jones for paint donation used in redecoration and to Ron Geeck for painting and Mike Murphy for installing the bell. Missionary Society to meet next Wednesday to pack Christmas boxes. Thanksgiving gatherings noted with many visitors from neighboring towns and extended families. The North Vernon Extension Group met November 26 with Christmas plans and a $5 donation to Mt. Pleasant State Home and Training School.

Salt River Farm Bureau Holds November Meeting At Strauch Home
The Salt River Farm Bureau met at the home of Mr and Mrs William Strauch on Tuesday evening November 19 for its monthly meeting. Six families were represented. Chairman John Methner presided. James Callihan led the Teen Age drivers discussion. They planned an annual Christmas Ham Supper and will host the Farm Bureau women's activity group for a potluck dinner December 17.

Michigan Unemployment at Seven Year Low in September
