Local notices list train times for service PABES Marquette and Am Arbor lines with arrivals and departures between Clare and neighboring towns. The column also covers community items from Clare, including visits, family news, health updates, church events, and social gatherings.
The State of Michigan Department of Conservation fixes a public hearing time and place in Harrison for September 12, 1921, at 2:00 PM to consider suspending or regulating the open season on game animals due to threatened depletion. Director John Baird orders the hearing at the Court House with adjournments possible to hear all interested parties.
Rev. McMannion pastor conducts religious services at 7 30 in the morning.
German service and Lord's supper at 10:00 a m and English services at 7 30 p m. The pastor will deliver the farewell sermon at these services.
Regular services will be discontinued until after the camp meeting at St Louis which began Thursday August 18 and runs through Sunday August 28. Everyone is invited.
Pastor Rev. C. D. Milberry announces morning worship and sermon at 10 15. Bible school at 11 30. Evening service at 7 30. Prayer meeting Wednesday at 7 20. Sheridan Church holds 1 00 o clock Bible school and a 2 00 service Standard time.
The Congregational church led by Rev. G. P. Badgley will close for August, with the next regular service planned for the first Sunday in September.

Sealed bids for constructing three miles of Class B state reward road in Clare County are due August 29, 1921, at Harrison. Bids cover three one mile segments in Grant Sheridan and Arthur Townships with plans available at the county clerk’s office. A $50 certified check accompanies each proposal. bids may be rejected.
