Frederick Athey longtime Arthur township resident died Sunday at Samarit an Hospital in Bay City after a brief illness. Born December 26, 1880 in Howard County Indiana he moved to Michigan in 1900. He married Rosella Spicer in 1908 and had twelve children with grandchildren and many relatives. He served in local civic roles and the Hardwood school board. He is survived by his wife and children.
