Amateur Boxing Exhibitions Planned for Clare
Hart Ruby and Ray Men aim to stage a 10 match Santa Clara style boxing program this fall in Clare. They watched a 12 match amateur card at Bay City St. Joseph A C to spark a local show with Bay City Saginaw amateurs. The Clare Rotary Club may sponsor to raise funds for Boy Scouts and underprivileged youths. Menthen praises amateur boxing as clean sport and local figures offered help to organize future events with licensed refereeing and state sanction pending.
