Mrs. A E Bartow was appointed chairman of the Budget Committee and to arrange the Ingathering at Loch Rio in November. The Northeast District of 18 counties contributed 1092 dollars last year to Girls Town.
A group of ladies attended the Lutheran Missionary League Bay Midland Zone rally at St. John's Lutheran Church in Midland on April 23. The program titled While it is Day began at 10:00 a.m. with a luncheon at noon and an afternoon session. Representatives from Prince of Peace Lutheran Church Glare included Mrs. C. Smith Miss T. Lange Mrs. H. Campbell Mrs. H. Meyers Mrs. J. Robson Mrs. J. Schellhas Mrs. F. Ahrens Mrs. H. Carr and Mrs. P. Schroeder.
The Clare Extension study group No 1 met with Mrs. Ray Flones on April 21 with Mrs Axel Johnson as co host. Ida Bellows led the Descent and Distribution of Wills and Property lesson while Mrs Gordon Griffin spoke on Plan the Use of the Family Dollar. Verner Wigle presided over the business session and led the group in the Woman's Creed.
City residents and relatives are listed visiting Cedarville Pierson Gaylord and surrounding areas. Dates span a weekend to Monday with fishing trips cottage reopenings and family gatherings including Dr Sharlow at a Detroit osteopathic convention and a move to 308 East 5th Street.
