Funeral Services Held Thursday for Walter J Hess
Walter J Hess died after a two week illness at his Sheridan township home at 38 years, five months, and six days. He leaves a widow five children and other relatives. Services were conducted at St John’s Lutheran church by Rev C Binhamm er and burial was in Cherry Grove.

Sheridan Couple Returns from Winter Florida Trip
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cotton of Sheridan township returned from Florida where they spent the winter touring the state. They left Clare November 8 in a new Oldsmobile bought from Corman Auto Sales and drove 4800 miles with four oil changes and no tire or mechanical trouble. They lived in a tent or the car and reported the best winter they ever experienced. They praise Florida and its hopeful future.
