The Harrison Study Club met Monday evening April 4 in the first grade room with 18 present. Vice President Myrtle Miller led the session. Pauline Young distributed leaflets and a program of songs featured The Haster Parade and Bless This House. Mrs. Allen of Clare spoke on the county Cancer Drive.
Social events include a bake sale by the Home Makers Club at the IGA Store on Saturday April 9 at 1:00 PM with each member supplying two items. Mrs. John Beardsley of Marquette attended a dinner party hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Marlon Roth for Mrs. Dick McCartney’s birthday. Mrs. Paul Gibson hosted a bridal shower for Alma Eble with games and lunch.
Wm Martz traveled to Ohio last Wednesday due to his mother's death and returned with his son Rodney on Saturday. Neighborhood visits included the Hendersons with Dorothy Allen and Mary Joyner in Clare, the Hamptons and Walls with Linda Lou Stanley at Weidman, the Walls visiting Bowen family and others in Grand Rapids at Budd Lake cottage, and gatherings at Eaton and Griffin households.
